Rev. Dr. Fredrick E. Jones
Rev. Jones was called to the stewardship of pastor of Canaan Baptist Church, June 29, 2014. As pastor of Canaan Baptist Church his pastoral leadership is about vision, planning, and implementation. His primary focus is on Christian Education, whereby Christian growth in moving from membership to Disciple ship, with strong emphasis on Evangelism. Proverbs 29:18 reads “without a vision the people perish.” his commitment is to the will of God.
A Man of Intregrity
His desire is to touch our community with the transforming power of the Holy Spirit through much prayer, guidance of the Holy Spirit, and building of community relationships. He truly believes the Lord works in His own way to accomplish His will. He serves on various local, state and national boards. He is a man with a humble spirit and a strong relationship with God. A man of integrity, He believes we have an obligation to be “Christ-like” to others in our daily walk of life.Dr. Jones accomplishments are impressive and includes an Honorary Doctorate degree, Arkansas Baptist College, Certificate of completion Dr. Melvin Gray Pastoral Studies, Associate Degree, University of Detroit, currently enrolled in Andersonville Theological Seminary. Dr. Jones is a nationally certified instructor for the Congress of Christian Education; General Baptist State Convention of Wisconsin, Inc., (GBCS). He has served as Second Vice-President and Chief Financial officer of the General Baptist State Convention of Wisconsin, Inc. Dr. Jones is an active executive board member.
Pastor Jones is a loving, devoted husband to the woman of his life Marian L. Jones, and a father and grandfather.
